As a child, I always wanted to be an attorney. I love how they can argue a point until its mute and win on technicalities. I was even a political science major in college but I quickly learned  during a internship at a major firm my personality doesn’t match well with other lawyers or the constant reading( I am a people person and I love to interact with people hence- a sales career). I had “my day in court” today and I wanted to dress what I perceived an attorney wears (Guess what? All the female JD’s had on black suits ha ha! One even asked what firm I represented. This speaks so well to dress for the job you want not the job you have.) I know this is a plain-jane outfit and doesn’t showcase my personality or flare but I think it’s key that everyone own one POWERHOUSE black suit (The Limited-Studio 400. jacket $29.99 skirt $14.99). Think about it, you can interview in this suit, dress up/down the separates, or even attend a funeral (not funny but true)! Happy Styling!!

It’s one of those days were it is 50 degrees in the morning and 80 in the afternoon. My solution is a LOFT cardigan ($4.88 I got this last winter right before the spring collection came out) and Banana Republic dress ($3 Phase II). I will be taking the cardigan off once the temps heat up. Happy Styling!!

I am feeling so much better today! I got some much needed sleep and medicine over the weekend. Today is a rainy day, I actually love the rain it’s so renewing and calming. I paired a oatmeal colored sweater(LOFT $20- I got it over the weekend with their great 40% off sale and saving cards) and classic black LOFT pants( I’ve owned these forever)! I like the shine the patent leather shoes add to the outfit, it seems like I have on rain boots but they are heels. Happy Styling!!

I am still feeling under the weather…sniff sniff. However, the best way to feel better is to look better (so I changed out of my cozy pajamas and got out of the house). I got this cute billowy blouse from Gigi’s Boutique ($22). I love the details like the pockets, cobalt-yellow-gray color combo, and drawstring. GAP gray cropped jeans are perfect for my weekend attire. I didn’t do much today but sit over my parents house and eat frozen yogurt (for my throat of course)! Happy Styling!!

I felt horrible today! The weather change is driving me crazy so I don’t have an outfit to report for work today. After downing a cocktail of meds I feel somewhat better. I had an amazing date night with the best little girl ever (she is under the weather tooL)! For our movie-dinner date I choose a palette of gray’s (sweater and tank $4.88 each for LOFT and gray riding pants- Old Navy) and blue rain boots (Steven Madden via TJ Maxx $24.99). Happy Styling!!

I am not sure I like this skirt (TJ Maxx Tahari- $20). There is something that seems off about it; maybe it’s the top which doesn’t tuck in correctly or the lining of the skirt. I’ve had a major dilemma in the morning because of the weather change. Usually in the mornings it’s around 50 degrees and then in the afternoon it’s above 80! For my job I am in and out of my car all day so it’s difficult to decide how to dress. Layers and medium weighted fabrics are a key staple to transition from season to season.
